The very popular Enterprise Search Summit show is just a few weeks away! The show features additional sessions on Monday for those who want to attend the special sessions.
Note that searchdev.org will be having a get-together on Monday night, May 19th, at the Bice Restaurant near the hotel at 7PM.
Finally, you can get a discount if you register using the New Idea Engineering link.
Research firm Forrester has announced a webinar scheduled for June 2 to present the Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Search Platforms, Q2 2008. Analyst Leslie Owens will present the webinar, which reports on Forrester's evaluation of 11 enterprise search vendors covering criteria from core architecture to vendor strategy. Like many vendors, we think of the Forrester Wave report as one of the 'big two' reports on the enterprise search marketplace. Register now and plan to attend.
CMS Watch has published their overview of the Enterprise Search Vendor Landscape Circa 2008 using a methodology that positions vendors on a grid where the axes are Product Development and Vendor Evolution. Interesting data points in the forecast: Autonomy and Oracle, Turbulence; Microsoft and IBM, Shifting; Google, on the border of Balance and Shifting. Also interesting: Endeca, ISYS, Exalead, Lucene, Coveo, and Recommind, noted as Balanced. The surprise? Mondosoft, acquired by Copenhagen company SurfRay last June, is listed as Shifting.
As promised, here are the shows that we will be speaking at this Spring and Summer. Let us know if you'll be at any of these events as well.
