CNN Money reports that Microsoft will be using a solution from FAST Search & Transfer in an eCommerce application. And Bloomberg reports that FAST has closed the 2007 year with a multi-million dollar deal at a large publishing company. Like Autonomy, FAST releases its 2007 financial at the end of this month.
IBM and Yahoo! announced that they have released an updated version of the OmniFind Yahoo! Edition with better windows integration. They report that over 25,000 users have downloaded the search software released last year, which has grown into quite a successful fully supported technology.
FastForward08 will be held in Orlando February 18-20. The FAST show has become an annual industry event, and will feature speakers like David Weinberger and Andrew McAfee of Harvard as well as other industry leaders and visionaries. We've long said that the FAST show has become an industry and makes sense to attend even if you are not a FAST customer.
